One of the major goals of CSTEP is to provide ethical education to both future and current engineers and scientists. Since CSTEP is ran by both philosophers and engineers, we believe that the center has the tools needed to offer this type of education. CSTEP's efforts to educate future engineers and scientist is concentrated on teaching university courses focusing on specific topics related to these disciplines. Once a year, CSTEP offers a UTEP course about ethical topics in engineering or science. CSTEP's efforts to educate current engineers and scientists is concentrated on organizing various workshops. The workshops are designed to satisfy the fifteen hour Professional Engineer Ethics requirement in which participants receive Continuing Education certificates.
